Lost marbles...
When do you know that your work-life balance has tilted in favour of work?
When you wake up at 3 am and remember something you didn't complete at work. But that's not it. It's when instead of cursing yourself for having been woken up by that, you think, I have to remember to go and finish it up at work today!!
You'll know then that you've lost it ...your marbles, that is! And that's my excuse for not putting up a post for so long - work is so intense and full-on (and from the looks of it, will be for all of this month, at least) that I plead guilty to the temporary insanity of 51% work and 49% life. Still only a borderline case.....

Lol.. I think I lost them loooooooooooooong time ago. No life, only work :p
Me: You need to get out of that rut!!! Never ever fall into it and even if you do, never stay in it very long!
Hi L,
51% work and 49% life, still you are much better than most of us here. We have forgotten it for long now. Work is life here.
It would not be long when working too much would lead to degradation of environment and like the "Carbon Credit" we would start buying "life" from lucky few like you.
How about being married to someone whose work-life IMbalance is tilted at 90-10?
Hhhhhhhmmmmmm... increasing the count by +1 to the list of people telling me that.
:p
Hari: I know, aren't we lucky here that way? But living in the back of beyond has to have some compensation as well. I know how it is in India, as I've worked there and everytime I come down, I see how people in my family work.
You are welcome at a later stage to buy 'life' from me, if then I have any left, that is!
Lak: I am already am - except that in my case, it's study + work that takes up 90 % of hubby's time....I can totally empathise with you.
Me: how many of them have you listend to? None, by the looks of it...
A time to so, a time to reap... to everything, turn turn turn.
;)
n hey you a gemini too. when's your d day?
Me: True, it's all a part of the endless circle, I guess. B'day? June 9. When's yours?
But you are not completly insane yet.
Which is sad.:)
Confused: Some would say otherwise about my sanity levels, but hey, anyways you look at it, I am lovely:)
Hmm.. we all go through this, don't we, papji? Fortunately for me, I am a sound sleeper.. :) but yeah, I have woken up so many times and the first thing I think about when I wake up is.. oh I need to complete this at work, or that I forgot to mention this one thing in my reply to so and so's email.. aargh.. not a good way to start your day! These are the times when you wonder whether a career/job is really worth it...but then again, I know i would be complaining much momre if i wasn't working at all...
I agree with anon. Even though I crib abt work, I'd be lost without it!
25th, this Month. ;)
Vidhu & Thangai: yup, I guess we would be lost w/o work, coz we are now so totally conditioned into working. Interesting!! And I can see that I am not the only one who goes through this...
Join the club :)
Shyam,
