Lost in translation

The other day, was trying to translate 'Kann kolla kaatchi' to a colleague. Messed it up big time I think, going by the fact that J was in splits with my random-as efforts.

Tell me, how can you do that one. What would you use - literal or contextual meaning?

"Something never before seen"? Unless I'm wrong, ofc.

Hmm, something that is so huge/brilliant/complex that the sight cannot be contained in your eyes - there, that sounds a lot better than what I told J....

Hi kiwi, interesting colours--Holi has just gone by--- I don't think the colours are clashing! Will be back some time--my daughter is going thru her XII Boards--that's saying everything, isn't it?

Thanks for the kind words Lak. Strangely enough, being Madrasi, I wasn't even too aware Holi, but looks like my change was timely. And good luck with your exams (notice I said 'your' exams)
