I am trying

to do many things, with varying degrees of urgency. Some of them.....

I am trying....

to stay cheerful in this time of grey skies, constant rain and end of daylight saving and summer.

to be energetic enough to some reading for my course every night(and failing mostly)

to find some home-work balance (what balance?)

to try and blog meaningfully (rarely succeeding)

to lose weight (a lost cause for the past how-many-ever years now)

to spend more time with kids & family (trying, trying, always trying)

to think of new dishes to cook or experiment with, but after a full day at work, that never happens

to walk & exercise more (now that summer is over, probably not at all a practical thing to try for!!!!)

to stop using swear words (which are the new words that my 3-year-old seems to pick up quickest)

to read (blogs, fiction and site on the net)

to donate money generously to charity

to be nice and kind to everyone

and lastly, for sainthood.....

Wish me luck!

Sounds more serious than new years resolutions! BTW, I'm working on the book tag---any rules to be followed?

Isn't is strange that when we try hard to do something...it always seem to end in some disappointment or at least some anxiety? When we give up trying and just be in the moment...does peace of indescribable beauty descend upon us?

Some of those I can empathise with... but sainthood? Ah well, like Confused said, you do all the other things successfully and sainthood is automatically yours. The halo comes free, no effort required ;)

Thangai: Cheers! You do lead a nice life, so just go for it. BTw, what is ur name?

Lak: Nope, these are by no means resolutions, it's all happening to me now. No rules for the tag, only just copy + paste all the questions on my tag and put yours answers there, then publish.

Me: Wish list? I would wish for a few things differently, in that case *wink*

Diana: I guess I have to say that most of these are things that I am doing (at least in part) at the moment, I guess I am only trying to fine-tune my act, so the odds against my succeess are pretty low!

Bala: That would need a more enlightened soul than me! I believe that not trying equates, in most cases, to laziness, and hence would not be comfortable with it.

Shyam: Glad u can empathise with some of it. The sainthood is just a 'silly' add-on, y'know, just to make the whole thing a little less serious:)
